Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Release Postponed
Khan mentioned several upcoming projects under his production banner
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has confirmed that the release of his highly anticipated film Sitaare Zameen Par has been postponed from its original Christmas 2024 date to mid-2025.
This announcement was made during his appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, where he shared insights about the film’s production timeline.
Khan revealed that post-production for the film will begin later this month, aiming for a release around the middle of next year. He emphasized that while Sitaare Zameen Par serves as a thematic sequel to his acclaimed 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, it will feature a completely new cast and storyline, stating, “It’s a fresh set of characters, completely fresh situation and plot.”
In addition to discussing Sitaare Zameen Par, Khan mentioned several upcoming projects under his production banner, including Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol, and a film featuring his son Junaid Khan titled Ek Din. Aamir also hinted at an Austin Powers-inspired project being developed by stand-up comedian Vir Das.
