Bollywood megastar was injured during Project K action scene in Hyderabad
Amitabh Bachchan has updated fans about his health condition after being injured on the Project K set!
It was reported last week that the Bollywood megastar will miss out on Holi festivities after suffering a rib injury while shooting for his upcoming film ‘Project K’.
Project K is the working title of an upcoming Bollywood science fiction film written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. The film co-stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani, and is expected to release next year.
The veteran actor has put fears to rest with his latest blog post:
“Languishing in the environs of the home and the prevention from all kinds of physical activity .. the inability to partake in the festivities of the day .. and the gaiety of Holi that was celebrated with such vigour and in such fine fettle, has gone amiss .. has been so for years now …
The open house .. the celebratory welcome to all .. the hundreds that drenched themselves with music and dance and camaraderie .. starting early in the day and in a never-ending mode till the dawn of the next…those times may never come again… I hope they do .. but it looks difficult .. at least for the present ..”
The veteran actor also wrote that in gloominess, he had turned to poetry written by his late father and poet Harivansh Rai
Actor Amitabh Bachchan suffered a muscle tear to his right rib cage while shooting Project K in Hyderabad.
Bachchan, 80, revealed in a blog post that his rib cartilage “popped” on set while he filmed an action shot, injuring him.
He received medical care in Hyderabad and is now recovering at Jalsa, his home in Mumbai.
In his post, Amitabh Bachchan wrote:
“In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured – rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage, canceled shoot, did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home. Strapping has been done and rest been advocated. Yes painful. On movement and breathing, will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur. Some medication is on also for pain.”
“So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs,” Amitabh Bachchan continued, “I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities, but yes in rest and generally lying around.”
“It shall be difficult or let me say I shall be unable to meet, the well wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening. So do not come and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming. All else is well.”
Amitabh Bachchan’s last film was Sooraj Barjatya’s “Uunchai,” one of the few box-office hits in 2022.
it was announced at the beginning of this month that Bollywood cinema legend Amitabh Bachchan will headline Ribhu Dasgupta’s courtroom drama thriller ‘Section 84.’
Big-B will be seen portraying a character of a lawyer in the upcoming film written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
Well, that reminds Bachchan’s fans of his character Deepak Sehgal, in the 2016 release Pink: Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
