Indian Actor Sharad Kapoor Accused of Molestation
FIR Filed Following Disturbing Allegations
Indian actor Sharad Kapoor is reported to have been accused of molestation by a 32-year-old woman, leading to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against him.
The incident reportedly occurred on November 26, 2024, when the woman was invited to Kapoor’s office under the pretext of discussing a project related to video reels. Upon her arrival, she alleged that Kapoor was inappropriately dressed and made unwanted advances towards her, which included sending lewd messages and a distressing voice note after the incident.
According to the Indian media reports, the FIR was filed on November 27 by the Khar Police under sections 74, 75, and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Following the filing of the complaint, Kapoor has been summoned for questioning as part of the investigation.
The woman has expressed her desire for legal action, emphasizing the need for accountability within the entertainment industry.
Sharad Kapoor, who began his acting career in 1994 with “Mera Pyara Bharat,” is known for his supporting and villainous roles in films such as “Josh,” “Dastak,” and “Lakshya,” as well as his recent work in “Jai Ho” alongside Salman Khan.
As of now, he has not publicly commented on these allegations.
