Originally released in 2016, the film was considered a flop with lifetime earnings of only about Rs 9 crore. However, its re-release on February 7, 2025, has turned the tables, taking the total of five days to Rs 22 crore nett in India.

The success can be attributed partly to Harshvardhan Rane’s efforts in advocating for a re-release after noticing fan demand on social media platforms.
Despite facing competition from new releases like “Loveyapa” and “Badass Ravi Kumar,” Sanam Teri Kasam continues to captivate audiences with its poignant love story.
With this renewed success, there is already buzz about a potential sequel titled “Sanam Teri Kasam Part II,” which could further capitalize on this momentum if executed well.
