Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi first look unveiled!
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much anticipated next creation hit the floors in February 2023 and it will be headed to Netflix soon.
The makers of the film released its first official teaser on Saturday.
Netflix India and Bhansali Productions shared the teaser, with a caption: “Another time, another era, another magical world created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali we can’t wait to be a part of. Here is a glimpse into the beautiful and intriguing world of Heeramandi. Coming soon.”
The teaser introduces the lead cast that includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal and Sanjeeda Shaikh, presumably playing the courtesans of Heeraamandi, the red light area of pre-partition Lahore.
Calling Heera Mandi an important milestone in his journey Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, “This is an epic, first-of-its-kind series based on the courtesans of Lahore. It is an ambitious, grand, and all-encompassing series; therefore I am nervous yet excited about making it. I am looking forward to my partnership with Netflix and bringing Heera Mandi to audiences all over the world.”
