Shweta Bachchan makes debut as an author with her novel “Paradise Towers”

Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter has been exploring different ventures lately. It was earlier in July, when she made her acting debut alongside her father in a TV commercial. Few weeks ago, she launched her own fashion label in collaboration with her designer friend Monisha Jaising.

 

This time Shweta is all set to make her debut as a writer with her novel, “Paradise Towers”, being published by Harper Collins.The news was shared by Shweta Bachchan Nanda in a tweet, along with the cover photo of her upcoming novel.


Her daddy was feeling super proud about the debutante novel. Amitabh Bachchan also tweeted about his daughter’s novel.


The publisher of the book Haper Collins India, has also shared video about this upcoming novel on twitter, with the caption, “Stop everything you’re doing and watch this. We’re thrilled to present Shweta Bachchan-Nanda’s debut novel, Paradise Towers – a building where everyone has a story to tell…or stories to hide”.


According to the summary provided on publisher’s website, story follows as, “Dinesh opens the door to the Kapoor flat to find Lata, the enchantress who works at Mrs Aly Khan’s, carrying a hot case with freshly made gaajar ka halwa. On the first floor, the inquisitive Mrs Mody wipes the dust off her precious binoculars to better observe the building’s security guard. Welcome to Paradise Towers, an apartment building in central Mumbai. Everyone here has a story to tell. Or maybe they have stories to hide”.
