Aamir Liaqat Bullies Mehwish Hayat, Gets Served Savagely
It’s 2020 but some men of our society have not been able to progress and mature enough to understand the importance of intellectual and informed women. Similar was the case with scholar turned television anchor turned MNA Aamir Liaqat Hussain who tried to bully Mehwish Hayat for practicing her freedom of speech and voicing an opinion as per her choice.
“Can’t believe that just 72 hours into 2020 & the world is already teetering on the edge of war. I guess this is wht happens when the “leader of the free world” takes unilateral decisions without regard for international laws. This isn’t just abt Iran & USA. God protect us,” Mehwish had tweeted on January 3, as the global politics heated up amid Iran’s commander Qassem Soleimani’s assassination by US.

In response to Mehwish’s Tweet, former circus aka game show host, Aamir Liaqat tried to bring her down by calling her ‘item girl’.
“Having a Tamgha e Imtiaz does not mean that an item girl can pass discriminatory remarks, she should be in line with Pakistan’s foreign policy. And what if Qassem Soleimani was alive, would he call her to perform in Iran?” wrote the MNA as he took a jibe at the actor’s national award.
But Mehwish was not having it, and she clearly put the former television anchor in his line.
“This “item girl” is exercising her democratic right to have an opinion whereas you keep stooping to making personal jibes and nothing more. Man up!,” tweeted the actress celebrating her 37th birthday today.
“BTW whatever happened to the case you were filing against me for “Load Wedding”? I have been waiting with bated breath,” she further referred to Aamir Liaqat’s previous threat of suing her film for defaming him through a comical parody.
