Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan Clinically Stable, Say Hospital Sources

It was on July 11, when Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19 and were shifted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. Later the next day, Abhishek’s wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya also tested positive for the virus and were quarantined at home.

As per the latest update from the hospital sources that the Bachchan father and son duo are “clinically stable” and do not need to undergo “aggressive treatment”.

“Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus, are “clinically stable” and don’t require aggressive treatment: Hospital sources,” news agency Press Trust of India tweeted.

Big B also took to Twitter to thank his fans and well-wishers for the prayers and affection.

“To them that have expressed their concern, their prayers and their wishes for Abhishek Aishwarya Aaradhya and me .. my unending gratitude and love,” tweeted the Sholay actor.

Out of five members of the Bachchan family, four contracted the novel Coronavirus whereas Jaya Bachchan’s test came back negative. The three houses of the Bachchans were also sanitized by Mumbai’s municipal council after Amitabh and Abhishek were moved to the hospital.
