Actor Irrfan Khan Passes Away at 53

Versatile actor Irrfan Khan has succumbed in a long battle against illness as he breathed his last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai on Wednesday. The 53-year old was admitted to the hospital to treat colon infection due to which he had difficulty in breathing on Tuesday.

Earlier in March 2018, Irrfan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour, a rare form of cancer and since then his health had been a cause of concern for his family and fans. After receiving medical treatment from London, the actor had the time and again faced a lapse in his health over the course of the last two years.

Irrfan’s mother Saida Begum also passed away in Jaipur three days ago. However owing to the lockdown in India due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the actor could not attend his mother’s funeral.
