Ali Azmat Contracts Coronavirus

Celebrity singer Ali Azmat has tested positive for coronavirus.

Pakistani singer-songwriter, musician and actor, took to Instagram on Monday evening to share the health update with fans.

Ali who best known as the lead singer for the influential Sufi Rock band Junoon and for his subsequent solo career, made the announcement in his true Punjabi element, saying that he has tested positive for the virus and told it to go away.

“Lo jee, result positive aa gaya. Dafa duur corona [Oh great, I’ve tested positive. Get lost Corona],” he captioned his video message.

The third wave of coronavirus is proving to be quite lethal in Pakistan.

Previously, a number of Pakistani celebrities have contracted COVID-19, including Mahira Khan, Ali Rehman Khan, Shahid Afridi, and Sanam Jung, alongside her daughter.

Pakistan on Tuesday has reported 5,445 new coronavirus cases, taking the country’s Covid-19 tally to 766,882.

While country’s death toll climbed to 16,453 after 137 people succumbed to the deadly disease in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 4,286 patients recovered from the deadly disease in a day taking total recoveries to 667,131.

According to NCOC, the total active Covid-19 cases across the country were reported to be 83,298.
