Ali Zafar Meesha Shafi Case Takes New Twists and Turns

It is quite uncertain when and how will the fiasco between Pakistani stars Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi come to an end, or even more so who will come out as the triumph one. After dragging each other on television for the last couple of days and claiming innocence for themselves and making a few more accusations, the parties are now resorting to legal chambers again.

In the latest development, Meesha Shafi’s legal team has sent a defamation notice of Rs2 billion to Ali Zafar. As per the notice, Ali is accused of making false allegations on Meesha whom he says alleged him of sexual harassment to get Canadian citizenship. The notice states that Meesha got her Canadian PR in 2016, thus Ali’s claim is only an attempt to fabricate lies.

It also adds that the Teefa in Trouble actor referred to Malala Yousafzai as he attempted to make a connection between both cases of immigration, it says that Ali is also guilty of insulting the Nobel Laureate from Pakistan.

Ali Zafar has been given a 15-days’ notice to apologize, failing to do so which will result in legal action against the singer turned actor.

On the other side, Ali Zafar’s attorney Ambreen Qureshi has shared Meesha Shafi’s messages from the alleged harassment day. Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi had both spoke of the ‘thank you’ message Meesha sent after the concert was over. As per Meesha the message was related to the concert and not jamming session; Channo had singer claimed otherwise.

Taking it to Twitter Barrister Ambreen said, “Recently in a TV interview Meesha categorically denied saying ‘there was no mention of jam at all in the message’. Luckily our client Ali Zafar has the entire chat saved.”

Ali Zafar also shared Ambreen’s post and quoted Quranic Ayat alongside.

Additionally, as per Ali Zafar’s request, FIA has started a crackdown on various alleged fake accounts on social media. These accounts as per Ali’s claim had been a part of campaign to malign the singer’s reputation and harass him and his family.
