Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek Bachchan tests positive for Covid-19

Bollywood actor and the son of veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek, has also tested positive for the COVID-19 infected,  reports emerged on Saturday.

Abhishek Bachchan took to social media to announce the news saying that he and his father Amitabh Bachchan have tested positive.

He wrote, “Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic”.

According to the reports, Abhishek Bachchan, along with his father has been admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital where he is being kept in an isolation ward.

Filmfare also confirmed  that Junior Bachchan, too, had tested positive for coronavirus.

Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan confirmed on Twitter revealing that his family and staff as well had been tested and the results were awaited.

In a tweet from his official Twitter, the ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ actor requested that those who had come in his proximity in the past 10 days should get themselves tested.

“I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!,” read the tweet from the actor’s official handle.
