Pakistan’s veteran writer Anwar Maqsood has finally joined the microblogging platform Twitter.
Sharing a video clip in his first-ever tweet, Anwar Maqsood said “This is my official account. I request you to report all other accounts that are impersonating me. Thank you.”
Anwar Maqsood, one of Pakistan’s brightest sources of pride for literary aficionados, received a warm welcome by fans on Twitter and just within a day, he has 22.8K followers and still increasing.
“I’m posting this new video with the actual username so there’s no room for confusion. Please report all other fake accounts”, he said in his second tweet.
It seems like the recent lockdown has helped made up Anwar sahab’s mind to have his own social media account. Lately, he has been doing live Instagram sessions with his son musician-singer Bilal Maqsood.
This father-son duo has brought back the feel of good old days when studio talk shows used to be Anwar Sahab’s specialty.
