Asif Raza Mir Breaks Silence on Ahad-Sajal Divorce: “Life Doesn’t End When Relationships Do”
This is the first time Asif Raza Mir has confirmed his son’s divorce and shared his thoughts on maintaining respectful ties with his former daughter-in-law.
Veteran actor Asif Raza Mir has finally opened up about his son Ahad Raza Mir and former daughter-in-law Sajal Aly’s separation, saying that “life doesn’t stop when a relationship ends.”
In a recent appearance on host Maliha Rehman’s show, Asif Raza Mir candidly discussed various topics, including his upcoming drama with Sajal Aly and the much-talked-about breakup between Ahad and Sajal.
Confirming their professional reunion, the seasoned actor revealed he will be seen playing Sajal Aly’s father in an upcoming project titled “Main Manto Nahin Hoon.”
He shared, “I was surprised when I got the offer, but we both decided to be professional. Relationships may end, but mutual respect should remain.”
Talking about Ahad and Sajal’s split, he said, “If a relationship doesn’t work, it ends. That’s a part of life. It doesn’t mean your life ends or you’re no longer capable of moving forward.”
Calling Sajal’s decision to work with him “a mark of courage and intelligence,” Asif Raza Mir added, “We chose to leave the past behind and move forward for the sake of our craft.”
He also responded to a viral video that recently circulated on social media showing Ahad and Sajal at the same awards event. “Our family is mature enough not to take social media gossip seriously,” he commented.
“Relationships are a part of life — they form and sometimes they break. True dignity lies in not reopening old wounds and moving ahead with grace,” the actor said.
Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly tied the knot in March 2020, but by March 2022, reports of their divorce began circulating. Neither star has addressed the split publicly to this day, though it has remained a topic of media and fan speculation.
