Asma Abbas Faces Setback After Skin Procedure Goes Wrong
Veteran actress shares scarring and recovery journey on social media

Asma Abbas, one of Pakistan’s most beloved senior actresses, recently faced a distressing experience following a skin procedure that went wrong.
The veteran actress, known for her acclaimed roles in dramas such as Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and Chupke Chupke, revealed that after undergoing a cosmetic treatment, she suffered a severe allergic reaction.
Painful red rashes broke out across her face, leaving visible white scars on her face and right hand, which she shared openly on social media to explain her recent absence from the public eye.
The skin procedure involved cauterisation, which her doctor had advised as the only method to remove certain skin issues.
Unfortunately, the treatment triggered a post-treatment skin allergy, causing significant discomfort and visible damage. She is currently under medical care, receiving allergy treatment to manage the condition.
Asma Abbas comes from a distinguished showbiz family—she is the daughter of writer Ahmad Bashir and sister to renowned actresses Bushra Ansari and Sumbul Shahid. She is also the mother of actress Zara Noor Abbas.
Despite this setback, Asma remains a resilient figure in the industry, having previously battled and recovered from cancer in 2018. She continues to work actively, currently involved in the popular daily drama Baby Baji Ki Bahuein, which has extended beyond its original episode count due to its success.
