Atif Aslam recently shared a heartwarming story about his role in facilitating communication between actor Hamza Ali Abbasi and his now-wife, Naimal Khawar, during their pilgrimage to Hajj in 2019.
In a video from his digital project ‘Borderless World,’ Atif recounted how Hamza borrowed his phone to text Naimal, who was concerned about their upcoming wedding.
“He didn’t have a phone during Hajj, so Hamza asked Naimal to text him on my phone. He then took over and started chatting with her,” Atif told humorously.
Atif recalled the playful messages exchanged, including Naimal urging Hamza not to cut his hair before the wedding.
Hamza confirmed Atif’s account, describing him as a vital link during that time. He humorously noted that he was unprepared for the trip, lacking basic essentials like soap and slippers, which Atif generously provided.
