Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who had tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from the UK to India three weeks ago, has now finally tested negative for coronavirus after her 6th test.
The Baby Doll singer was admitted to a hospital in Lucknow when was tested positive. She has now been discharged from the hospital, according to Indian media reports.
The actress, however, will observe home quarantine for 14 days.
In total, Kanika has had six coronavirus tests, four of which came out positive. The fifth and sixth test resulted in negative.
Kanika was the first Indian celebrity to contract the novel coronavirus. She was heavily criticised for attending lavish parties and staying in five-star hotels after her return from UK.
Some Indian media reports claimed that she hid her travel history from the officials initially.
Three FIRs were also lodged against the Indian singer for her negligent behaviour.
