Blogger who accused Ali Zafar of sexual harassment apologies after the trial

Instagram influencer and blogger Hamna Raza has apologized for accusing singer Ali Zafar of sexual harassment.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had registered a case against nine accused, including blogger Hamna Raza, in connection with an alleged campaign on social media against singer Ali Zafar.

Blogger Hamna Raza issued an apology on her Twitter account in which she termed the allegations against singer Ali Zafar as a misunderstanding.

In the apology letter, Hamna Raza wrote that “After Mesha Shafi’s tweet against Ali Zafar on April 19, 2019, I also did a tweet in which I said that as a fan I took a selfie with Ali Zafar. And in the meantime, I was feeling very upset with them. “

Blogger Hamna Raza explained in her apology that “it was a selfie taken in a friendly atmosphere which I misunderstood.”

“I shouldn’t have tweeted like this when I was aware of the consequences of my tweet going forward,” she added.

Hamna Raza further said, “My statement was also used against Ali Zafar, which not only damaged his honor and reputation, but also his family members, and I deeply regret it.”

Blogger Hamna Raza finally apologized to singer Ali Zafar and said, “I will use my platform more responsibly in the future.”

Responding to Hamna Raza’s apology, Ali Zafar in a tweet said, “Seeking forgiveness specially publicly is considered a sign of weakness whereas it represents true courage and the most beautiful thing about a human being- the will to better oneself. I wish you the best of health and happiness”
