BTS the international pop sensation is all set to perform in Saudi Arabia. They will be performing at King Fahd International Stadium for their first-ever show in the Kingdom, on Friday, October 11th.
This upcoming highly anticipated show is going to be an addition to their record-breaking BTS WORLD TOUR ‘LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF’ which was crowned as the top-grossing tour for May, amassing over $50 million during that month alone, cementing BTS’ position as the biggest pop act on the planet.
However, the K-pop band has been criticized for accepting to perform in Saudi Arabia as the Kingdom has no tolerance for same-sex relationships.
And for the first time, months after the news made the headlines, BTS leader RM and band member Jimin have explained the reason why they decided to perform in Riyadh.
RM revealed that it was a difficult decision for the band to make. While talking to The Hollywood Reporter, RM said, “I wouldn’t say it was easy. But we were officially invited. It’s been a while since we’ve performed in the Middle East.”
To which Jimin further added, “If there’s a place where people want to see us, we’ll go there. That’s really how we feel”.
While fans are eager to watch the band reunite on stage, as it is going to be BTS’ first performance after returning from a brief holiday.
