Deepika Padukone shares look of film on acid attack survivor

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has shared her first look of his upcoming film Chhapaak on Monday. The actor in the film is leading the character of Malti — the unfortunate story of an acid attack survivor named Luxmi Agarwal.

In the post shared by Deepika on her Instagram and Twitter handle, she expressed about how she has seen the role of Malti in the film and the courage the victim held even after the attack to drive herself forward.

Deepika in her post also announced the date of the release of film.

Soon after the Bollywood diva shared look in the film, it made rounds on social media garnering praises from all over. Fans turned up showing their enthusiast for the film and lauded the efforts of actors portraying the real show. One user wrote on Twitter “I’m sure this is gonna be a landmark story.”

Another fan of Deepika on Twitter said “This is life altering. Can’t wait to see what nuances you bring to Malti.” A user lauded the efforts of team for highlighting the issue. He said “Hardwork and Dedication pays off..Want to specially Thank You for raising this issue of acid attack victims!”

Chhapaak will be Deepika’a first film after she tied the knot with actor Ranveer Singh. The film is slated to hit screens on 10^th January next year.
