Legendary Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar whose ancestral home was recently pitched by the KPK government to be turned into a museum requested his fans in Peshawar to send him pictures of the house he spent his childhood in. Firstly it was journalist Shiraz Hassan who visited the site and shared photographs of the mansion which currently stands weak after centuries of being built.
“Thank you for sharing this. Requesting all in #Peshawar to share photos of my ancestral house (if you’ve clicked the pic) and tag #DilipKumar,” tweeted the 97-year old actor.
In return, the Mughal e Azam actor received tons of pictures of his home that gave him a chance to reminisce about his childhood memories.
“Hi, Dilip Sahab I hope you are in good health. Sharing lots of love and prayers from Pakistan. I happened to visit Peshawar a couple of weeks ago and took some photos of your ancestral house. I am sharing them below,” the first tweet said.
Another Twitter user shared that he is a big of Dilip Kumar and wished that Dilip Sahab will soon visit Pakistan.
“And here is a look of your house in moving images. I tried going inside as well but the condition didn’t allow me,” another said with a video.
“I have been there but no pictures! My aunts were mad about you and Saira Banu and saved every single clipping from newspapers for decades, along with a magazine. I can’t recall its name, though,” a fan shared on Twitter.
