There’s a lot to Donald Trump’s credit from being a business mogul to having a reality show to finally be the president of the United States, the man has done a lot and done it all.
However, one of his first appearances on the screen was rather interesting as he played a cameo in 1992 box office hit Home Alone 2.
The then owner of Manhattan Hotel – where a sequence of the film was shot – was of course a big shot businessman but not too known, and that’s the role he played onscreen as he gave directions to Kevin played by Macaulay Culkin.
Looks like even 27 years after the film, Trump is still inspired by the only film he played a tiny part in.
Recently while talking to overseas American troops on a customary Christmas call, the POTUS was asked if Home Alone 2 remains to be his favorite Christmas movie, and Trump seemed more than happy to admit so.
“Well, I’m in Home Alone 2. A lot of people mention it every year, especially around Christmas. They say – especially young kids — they say, ‘I just saw you on the movie.’ They don’t see me on television as they do in the movie. But it’s been a good movie and I was a little bit younger, to put it mildly. And it was an honour to do it,” said Trump.
“And it turned out to be a very big hit, obviously. It’s a big Christmas hit — one of the biggest. So it’s an honour to be involved in something like that, you always like to see success,” he added.
