The Hollywood Foreign Press Association hailed Ellen as a deserving nominee for the TV life achievement award named Carol Burnett Award.

They added that the award was annually presented to someone who has made outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen

In a statement, association President Lorenzo Soria praised DeGeneres as “a pioneer who has captivated audiences for nearly 25 years with her undeniable charm and wit.”
