Emraan Hashmi to star in Bollywood’s Arth remake

According to news, south actress-filmmaker Revathi is keen on remaking Mahesh Bhatt’s iconic film Arth. The film which released in 1982 was a drama and featured
Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Smita Patil and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles.

If Bollywood sources are to be believed then Jacqueline Fernandez and Sware Bhasker have been roped in to play the two leading ladies in the film while Emraan Hashmi is being considered for the male lead.

Considering Emraan’s closeness to Mahesh Bhatt, it won’t be incorrect to say that Hashmi would be more than inclined towards the role and the iconic film’s remake.

In 2017, Pakistani actor Shaan remade Arth which was largely inspired by Mahesh Bhatt’s film of the same name. The film starred Shaan himself in the lead, alongside Uzma Hassan, Humaima Malick and Mohib Mirza.
