Fast and Furious 9 Goes on Floor, Vin Diesel Announces on Social Media

Fast and Furious franchise has become a symbol of successful movies, and after its previous two installments Furious 7 and Fate of the Furious that crossed $1 billion globally, the franchise, one of it’s kind is getting better with every passing movie. This time, after quite a long wait, Fast and Furious 9 is in its initial stages of production and much to our delight, has gone on floors.

While there hasn’t been an official announcement on the shooting spell’s beginning, the lead actor Vin Diesel took it to Instargram and announced the exciting news.

Standing alongside Michelle Rodriguez in a video, Diesel shared the feeling of being on set and itsy bitsy of the first day of shoot.

As per sources, Dwayne Johnson will not be a part of the ninth installment of the franchise. This is mainly because of some fued between Johnson and Diesel that took place during the shoot of Fate of the Furious. However, in a surprising turn of events, it is speculated that John Cena will be making an appearance in the movie, in an unannounced role.

Apart from Diesel and Michelle, the regular crime team including Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson and Nathalie Emmanuel will be making a comeback in the upcoming movie.

Justin Lin, the man behind Tokyo Drift and Fast 5 will be helming the movie once again. He too took to Twitter and announced his return to the Fast series.

Although the storyline is unclear at the moment, it is speculated that the Fast and Furious franchise will be wrapped up with the 10th installment. If that is true, then let’s just say that the upcoming movie will be pretty much the semi finale. Fast and Furious 9 is expected to hit theaters on May 22, 2020.
