Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan terms himself ‘shy’ in private life
Actor Jamie Dornan, who by playing the titular character of film “Fifty Shades of Grey” films, made his way to superstardom.The character he portrayed was a bold, confident, wealthy billionaire. But, in actual life he is quite modest and a shy person. The Irish actor in a recent interview with international publication has revealed about his private life.
Jamie Doran said, I’ve always been shy, particularly at school. But as you grow up, you open up more, especially when you have kids. I still don’t think I’m very confident. I’m polite, though, which helps you get through uncomfortable situations, because most people respond well to manners. Or I’ll talk to myself to get psyched up, especially if I have to do any sort of public speaking. Sometimes I just talk nonsense right up until the event to take my mind off anything that’s about to happen.
The actor confessed in the interview, that he is ‘polite’, but also very ‘shy’. However, he believes that this is the reason why he has been so successful as an actor and person throughout the years. He opted for a very bold character in case of Fifty Shades of Grey appearing against Dakota Johnson, one could hardly believe about his private life. But that is show biz, you never know what is the original face of the character and that is a trait of a successful artist.
The lucrative success of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ franchise has successfully landed him with opportunities to branch out his acting career and pursue other roles elsewhere.
Jamie Dornan has recently appeared in the biographical drama A Private War, starring Rosamund Pike. His latest venture includes supporting role in HBO’s biopic My Dinner with Herve, starring Peter Dinklage.
Jamie Doran also stars in Untogether, an American drama film directed by Emma Forrest, which is her directorial debut, it made its premiere at Tribeca Film Festival. And he also has Robin Hood slated for November 21st release.
