Glenn Maxwell’s wife called out Indian trolls following Australia’s World Cup win against India!
Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell’s wife Vini Raman has been on target of trolls who chastised her for supporting Australia despite having Indian ancestors.
Raman is reported to be receiving ‘vile, hateful’ messages after Australia’s World Cup triumph.
“Cue all the hateful vile DMs. Stay classy. Can’t believe this needs to be said but you can be Indian and also support the country of your birth where you have been raised and more importantly the team your husband + father of your child play in #nobrainer. Take a chill pill and direct that outrac=ge towards more important issues,” Vini wrote in a post on Instagram.
Australia ended India’s invincible run to clinch a record-extending 6th World Cup title in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
All-rounder Glenn Maxwell played a key role in Australia’s memorable World Cup triumph with 400 runs and six wickets in nine matches in the tournament.
Maxwell’s wife Vini is a Melbourne-based pharmacist, who has her roots in South India.
As reported, she was born and brought up by her Indian parents in Melbourne and is an Australian citizen.
