Govinda bullet injury update: Bullet has been removed, actor out of danger

Govinda was hospitalised after an accidental bullet injury

Bollywood Actor-turned-Shiv Sena leader Govinda was hospitalized on Tuesday in Mumbai after he accidentally shot his leg with his revolver this morning.

Doctors have since removed the bullet, and his condition is stable, though he remains under observation at CritCare Hospital in Mumbai.

The incident took place around 4:45 am local time on Tuesday.

Mumbai Police officials confirmed that Govinda’s injury was not serious, but he was admitted to the hospital as a precaution.

Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, shared with ANI that the actor was preparing to travel to Kolkata when an accident occurred. While placing his licensed revolver in the cupboard, it slipped from his hand and discharged, striking him in the leg.

Govinda updated his fans on his condition, saying, “With the blessings of you all and my parents, the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctors and you for keeping me in your prayers.”

Govinda, one of Bollywood’s most renowned and beloved actors, made his acting debut in the late 1980s, initially appearing in action and drama films.

Throughout his career, he starred in numerous Hindi films, earning a place in the hearts of audiences with his charismatic dialogue delivery, impeccable comic timing, and high-energy dance performances.

During the late 1980s and early 1990s, he delivered a string of successful films, including Ilzaam, Marte Dam Tak, Khudgarz, Dariya Dil, Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni, Swarg, and Hum.
