Iffat Omar and Humayun Saeed Embroil in New Controversy After Khalilur Rehman Qamar’s Scandal

Khalilur Rehman Qamar and Marvi Sarmad are apparently old news now as actors Iffat Omar and Humayun Saeed have gotten into a new debate over the script and credits of London Nahi Jaunga which is scripted by Qamar, produced by Humayun with Iffat in the cast.

After Khalilur Rehman Qamar had an ugly spat with Marvi Sarmad last week on a talk show, Iffat was among the celebrities to condemn the writer and announce to boycott him in terms of work. Upon this, a fan asked the actress social media whether she would return the payment for London Nahi Jaunga due to Qamar’s association with the upcoming film.

“No I will make the producers disassociate with him. The film should not carry his name. Why should hard work of ours should suffer because of dirt like him??? And he lies about his lines not being changed Nadeem Baig has rewritten the whole script,” Iffat told the fan.

Soon after producer and actor Humayun Saeed had to intervene and refute Iffat’s statement as he announced that the film is currently in its first shooting spell.

“Not at all. We haven’t changed a single word of the script. Nadeem anyway doesn’t like diverting from the script once it’s locked and we have begun working on it. We also never steal anyone’s credit; this script has been written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and shall remain his,” said Humayun while talking to Something Haute.

He added, “While signing the film she [Iffat] told me she considers art and artist as being separate,” as he acknowledged Iffat’s off-late opinion on the writer that was not very positive.

However, Humayun added that once the shooting spell is over, he’ll issue a detailed statement on the matter as he and team workout a future plan on the matter.

“Once that (shoot) is done, we will sit down and discuss the way forward. I will be issuing a detailed statement on this matter soon,” said the actor.
