“I’m playing the most difficult character of my life as Bhola,” Imran Ashraf on his next

We’ve seen this guy deliver immaculate performances. Be it the Sunny in Lashkara, Tipu in Tu Dil Ka Kya Huwa or Shamo the transgender in Alif Allah or Insan, Imran Ashraf has given his best to whatever he does. Negative or positive, the actor plays his part with so much conviction, that he makes the onlookers fall in love. We’re currently loving his chemistry as Azhar with Hira Mani in Dil Mom Ka Diya and looking forward to more from the actor.

However, taking a break from playing cliched roles, Imran Ashraf, as he says, is preparing to quench the thirst of his soul as an actor.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, an upcoming Kashif Nisar directorial for Hum TV, based on a script by Faiza Iftekhar, will see Imran Ashraf opposite Iqra Aziz playing the role of a mentally challenged individual.

“I have done many characters, but Bhola is the toughest of what I have done in my life. As an actor, this is my dream role, because Bhola has provided me with an acting margin so wide that I have displayed a range of emotions and transitions as an actor in this one character,” shared Imran with Oye Yeah.

Although a commercial drama, Imran Ashraf feels Ranjha Ranjha Kardi is more inclined towards parallel cinema which explores an entirely different genre. “Bhola is not your usual hero. He isn’t the college going or office working guy, who finds his girl. In fact Bhola is mentally challenged and its his story. For those who will be watching the drama, I have a request to make. Since Bhola has so many emotions, transitions and variations to his character, I would want the audience to not be judgmental and wait for the ending to discover what his story was,” said Imran Ashraf.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi isn’t another one of your run of the mill stories, explains Imran. This drama will be different from what we have seen on television so far. “My chemistry with director Kashif Nisar has been amazing. Throughout Lashkara and now Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, I have been very comfortable shooting, this toughest character of my life, with ease, with Kashif Nisar,” said the Alif Allah aur Insan star.

Alongside Imran Ashraf and Iqra Aziz, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi will star Syed Jibran, Asma Abbas, Munaza Arif, Ammara Butt, Ismat Iqbal and also Kashif Mehmood in pivotal roles.
