Imran Abbas mourns demise of Zulfiqar Ali Attre

Zulfiqar Ali Attre passed in Lahore at the age of 61 on Friday.

Imran Abbas is mourning the demise of renowned music composer Zulfiqar Ali Attre.

Zulfiqar Ali Attre passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, in Lahore at the age of 61 due to a cardiac arrest. His contributions to the Pakistani film industry were significant, having composed music for over 50 films, including notable works like Chooriyan and Majajan.

Attre was also recognized for his work on the song “Mukhra” from Sarmad Khoosat’s 2022 film Kamli. Recently, he was involved in the production of the film Welcome Punjab, which is currently in filming.

In response to Attre’s passing, actor Imran Abbas expressed his sorrow on social media.

He shared a heartfelt message recalling a personal encounter with Attre, where their meeting had been postponed, but Attre made a point to visit him on set.

Abbas stated,  “I fondly recall asking Syed Noor Sahab to coordinate a meeting with the esteemed composer Zulfiqar Ali Atray, which unfortunately got postponed then. But to my surprise, he visited me at Bari Studio during the filming of ‘Tumhare Husn Ka Naam’ in Lahore to see me one day. It is heartbreaking to hear the news of his demise.”

“Today, we mourn the loss of one of the film industry’s most exceptional music directors. Rest in peace. Another cherished elder who always sent me prayers is gone,” he added.
