Imran Riaz Khan relocates to the UK
For the past month, Khan remained out of the public eye

Imran Riaz Khan, former anchor turned YouTuber, announced his relocation to the United Kingdom on Friday after leaving Pakistan.
Khan, whose name has frequently appeared on the Exit Control List (ECL), made the decision public through a social media post on January 31, 2025.
Reports indicate that he arrived in the UK amid ongoing legal challenges and increasing government crackdowns on dissenting voices in Pakistan.
journalist Moeed Pirzada, who is also based overseas, provided some clarity about Imaran Riaz’z relocation in a post on X, congratulating Khan for safely reaching the United Kingdom.
For the past month, Khan remained out of the public eye but continued posting regular vlogs on his YouTube channel. However, his videos lacked background details, keeping his exact location unknown.
Imran Riaz was also detained at the airport last July while attempting to travel for Hajj.
Khan shared a photo of himself on his official X account, on January 31, expressing the difference between “returning through a special plane after a deal with stolen goods” and “migrating while standing firm on one’s beliefs and risking one’s life.”
He continued, “I am proud that my Lord has granted me the perseverance to stand against every form of oppression. I endured brutal violence and terrifying imprisonment. I was arrested ten times, faced numerous legal cases, and was even forcibly prevented from performing Hajj, but my Lord granted me patience.”
Khan also promised to return to Pakistan soon.
His relocation has sparked discussions about the safety and freedom of journalists in Pakistan, particularly in light of recent events affecting media personnel.
