Indian Media Reports Atif Aslam Named His Second Born Allhamdulillah
Three days ago superstar Atif Aslam welcomed his second son and shared the good news with fans on social media.
“Ladies and gentlemen, our new arrival, alhamdulillah,” wrote the singer on Instagram.
“Both mother and baby are fine. Keep us in your prayers and don’t forget to say ‘mashallah’,” he shared.
Soon the congratulatory messages started pouring in for the Doori singer and the internet was overjoyed to hear the news.
However, one Indian media outlet Desi Martini got a little too excited and without any research – to say the least – posted a news piece on its website stating: Atif Aslam and wife welcome second child, name him Allhamdulillah’.
*major facepalm moment*

Yesterday evening when the meme over the piece came out the netizens had a field day over this silly mistake and soon the news outlet realized its mistake.
“An error in our copy on #AtifAslam claiming the name of his child wrong has been fixed. We sincerely apologize for the error and any misunderstanding or misinterpretation it may have caused,” wrote Desi Martini on Twitter.

The writer who did the news piece also admitted her mistake as she said she has learned to be careful on the website and now knows Alhamdulillah cannot be a name.
In retrospect, this is the silliest and one of the worst mistakes I have ever made. But as soon as we realised, we made the change. Too late though. But I learnt two things:
1. Be very careful on the web
2. Alhamdulilah cannot be a nameGenuinely sorry though

Well.. just another day on internet you may call it.
We at Oye, however, congratulate Atif on his second bundle of joy. The acclaimed singer and his wife Sara Bharwana are also parents to a boy named Ahad.
