Iqrar ul Hassan’s comments leave Twitter in uproar

Iqrar ul Hassan’s recent comments have left Twitter in an uproar.

The famous crime show Sar-e-Aam host in his recent Tweet drew a comparison between India and Pakistan, that invited the wrath of social media users.

His tweet has left the microblogging users in Pakistan divided and many came out demanding an apology from him over the tweet.

 

Soon after the backlash popular Pakistani anchorperson, Iqrar ul Hassan in a Tweet clarified his stance and addressed the hate comments he had been receiving on social media. 

“Like every conscious political activist and social media worker, PTI activists also want the development of Pakistan. Even if the enemy is doing something good, we have to go beyond it and not criticize our own people. If you want to play the trend, take this. Otherwise, let’s all come together and be positive and serve Pakistan,” said Iqrar in a Tweet.



Meanwhile, in between all the chaos, the hashtag #WeSupportIqrar is also trending top on Twitter.
