Jonny Depp’s and Amber Heard’s infamous and dirty divorce is still recent memory as the former couple has taken on each other in a messy defamation lawsuit.

After Amber wrote a column in Washington Post last year, stating her life as a domestic abuse survivor, Depp filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against her. Albeit that Amber had not taken any names in her write-up, Depp claimed that she implied it to be him.

Earlier, Amber had also appeared in a court with bruised face and claimed that she was physically assaulted by her then husband, for whom she acquired a restraining order.

As per recent unfolding of events, actor James Franco has now been subpoenaed to testify in the court, as Depp’s attorneys believe he can help validate the Pirates of the Caribbean actor’s stance that Amber herself painted the bruises to implicate her ex husband.

“I am eager to speak to Franco as he shared an apartment building with Depp and Heard at the same time in which Heard alleged Depp gave her a black eye,” said Depp’s lawyer Adam Waldman while speaking to a tabloid.

Adam shared that a CCTV footage from the night of alleged assault has also surfaced in which Amber and Franco are seen having an encounter in the apartment building. Depp’s attorney believes that Franco would be able to verify whether Amber’s face was bruised or not at the time.

Adam also shared that CEO Tesla Alon Musk is also in the list of witnesses he wishes to call. Alon is a close friend of Amber and frequently saw her during the days she claims she was domestically abused by Depp.

“We are interested in James Franco and Elon Musk as fact witnesses because we have evidence they are men who saw Amber Heard’s face in the days and nights between when she claimed Mr. Depp smashed her in the face on May 21 [in 2016] and when she went to court with painted on ‘bruises’ to obtain a temporary restraining order on May 27,” said Adam.
