Watch: Joaquin Phoenix Greets Prince William with Curtsey at BAFTA

Joaquin Phoenix who continued his winning streak at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, won the internet with a cute curtsey to Prince William when he saw the Duke on Sunday night.

In a video that’s going viral on social media, the 45-year old bowed in a curtsey to the Duke of Cambridge before the two men shook hands and Phoenix said, “It’s so lovely to meet you.”

Phoenix who won the best actor award for his performance in Joker was then complimented by Prince William for the same.

“Joker was amazing. I put it off and put it off because people kept telling me, ‘Be careful when you watch it.’ When I watched it, it blew my mind. It was really good,” said the Duke of Cambridge.

In continuation of his previous wins at Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards, Phoenix bagged the 73rd annual BAFTA for the best actor before he goes on to compete for the Academy award 2020.
