The 34-year-old singer filed to end his marriage with the 27-year-old star of Game of Thrones in Florida’s Miami-Dade county court, it emerges.
As reported, the field suit for divorce says “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken”.
The singer filed a petition for divorce in Florida on Tuesday in Miami Dade County, according to public records.
The Jonas Brothers frontman and “Game of Thrones” star tied the knot in 2019.
The soon-former couple have two kids together. The couple had a daughter, Willa, in 2020, and last year had another daughter whose name they have not made public yet.
On Wednesday, Turner and Jonas each posted identical statements to their Instagram accounts confirming their breakup.
“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” the statement read.
“There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” it added.
On Sunday, reports spread like wildfire on social media that Joe and Sophie’s marriage was on the rocks, with TMZ first citing sources that confirmed they were on the verge of splitting up.

As reported, he took his two daughters to breakfast at the Sweet Butter Kitchen restaurant in Sherman Oaks, California, reported Page Six.
He was photographed carrying his 3-year-old daughter, Willa while an unidentified female, presumably the kids’ nanny held his 1-year-old.
