Justin Bieber Gets Into Ugly Spat with PETA Over Exotic Cat’s Adoption

Baby famed singer Justin Bieber who has just gotten married for the second time, has now adopted two exotic kittens to further expand his family, previously he also owned a dog named Oscar.

However, Bieber’s attempt to increase fur family hasn’t gone down well with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) who is criticizing the singer for adopting exotic cats and promoting hybrid breeds rather rescuing shelter animals.

“Justin Bieber could have taken the opportunity to inspire the hefty number of people who look up to him, by adopting rescued animals from a shelter,” said Lisa Lange, Senior Vice President PETA.

The NGO’s president went on to add that the singer is “fueling the dangerous demand for hybrid cats, contributing to the animal overpopulation crisis, and proving that when it comes to helping animals, his stance so far is ‘I don’t care.'”

The criticism obviously became a trigger point for the 26-year old singer who responded to PETA on Instagram.

“PETA go focus on real problems. Like poaching, and animal brutality. Ur tripping because I want a specific kind of cat? U weren’t tripping when I got my dog Oscar and he wasn’t a rescue.. every pet we get must be a rescue?” he wrote as a reaction.

While further adding, “I believe in adopting rescues by also think there are preferences and that’s what breeders are for.”

Moreover, Bieber tagged the official Instagram account of his kittens Sushi and Tuna, and further slammed PETA.

“PETA go help with all of the plastic in the ocean and leave my beautiful cats alone @kittysushiandtuna,” said the singer on his handle.

The two kittens are Savannah felines brother and sister pair; and have been bought by Bieber for $15,000 and $20,000 each.
