Bollywood actor Kartik Aryan is on a roll after the success of his flick ‘Luka Chuppi’ However some have pointed that the actor is taking alone the credit of its success. Kriti Sanon, Kartik’s co-star of Luka Chuppi, during an interview to Bombay Times, spoke up about the unfair division of the credit which she believes has been given solely to the male lead of the film.
Kriti Sanon shared her feelings about the unfair attitude female actress face in the industry. She said, “The conversation started after a headline stating ‘Mr. Bachchan’s Badla and Kartik Aryan’s Luka Chuppi do well at the box office’, surfaced. Taapsee pointed it out and tweeted that female actors have also worked in these films.”
Adding how, female actresses were never acknowledged besides being show pieces for the film, Sanon said, “There are times when actresses are not given as much importance as the actors, even when it comes to mentioning them in the headline. You don’t call a romantic film a girl’s movie.”
Mentioning the unfair divide, Kriti said, “Some people have a tendency to write in detail about the male lead’s performance and just two lines describing the leading lady’s work. That, too, they focus more on how pretty she looked. Now, that’s upsetting.”
