Liam Neeson’s race comments over rape sparks outrage!

Actor Liam Neeson while promoting his upcoming new movie, Cold Pursuit, has sparked a controversy. His comments made in an interview to a journalist has landed him in hot waters.

Liam Neeson has revealed his shame after once walking the streets looking for a black bastard to kill after a loved one was raped.

In an interview, 66-years old, Irish actor, said that after being told the attacker was black, he “went up and down areas with a cosh ” hoping a black person “would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could kill him.”

Liam, during an interview with the Independent said:

“She handled the situation of the rape in the most extraordinary way.

“But my immediate reaction was I asked, did she know who it was? No.

“What colour were they? She said it was a black person.

“I went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I’d be… approached by somebody.

“I’m ashamed to say that, and I did it for maybe a week – hoping some [Neeson gestures air quotes with his fingers] ‘black b******’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could kill him.”

A ‘cosh’ is a heavy stick or bar like a baseball bat that’s used as a weapon. Which Liam referred in his comments.

The actor was sharing the personal story as he was promoting his new film Cold Pursuit, which sees his character Nels Coxman go on a journey to kill.

The film is based on a snow plough driver who aims at seeking revenge against the chain of drug dealers, as his son is killed off due to the overdose of drugs.

Neeson also said his behavior was “awful” and it took him more than a week to calm down.

“It was horrible, horrible, when I think back, that I did that,” he added. “And I’ve never admitted that, and I’m saying it to a journalist. God forbid.”

He further added: “It’s awful. But I did learn a lesson from it, when I eventually thought, ‘What the f*** are you doing’, you know?”

Liam has been subject to a lot of criticism on social media over the interview, for what has been seen as racially charged comments.
