Sir Ian Holm, the Lord of the Rings star who played Bilbo Baggins in hit film franchise dies aged 88 after a battle with Parkinson’s disease.
The news of his death was announced by his family on Friday.
‘He died peacefully in hospital, with his family and carer… Charming, kind, and ferociously talented, we will miss him hugely,’ says the family announcement.
