Mahira Khan Has Been a Fan of Ali Azmat, Calls Him the Rockstar of Pakistan
Mahira Khan’s Superstar recently hit the theaters in August and while the film garnered very mixed reactions, Mahira does have a lot to say about real-life rockstar of Pakistan.
While talking to The News in a press meet and greet, prior to her Paris Fashion Week departure, the actress had some great words of praise for Ali Azmat, whom she referred to as the ultimate Rockstar.
“There is only one rockstar this country has created. What a man, what a guy!” said the Humsafar actress.
While adding further she said, “He is exactly who he is and he’s been like that forever; even when I was a fan and me and my best friend would follow him around and he’s always been that guy.”
So it was revealed that Mahira also had a fangirling phase with the Junoon singer. However, as fate would have it, now the two are friends and will be appearing in Bilal Lashari’s The Legend of Maula Jatt.
So what’s the kind of relationship Mahira shares with Ali now?
“Although lately, every time he meets me – He calls me ‘Hey, serial rejecter’ and I’m like ‘who are you talking about’ and I have no idea who he’s talking about or whom I’ve rejected. So, it’s an inside joke but I don’t know it so I’m like okay, whatever, fine,” shared Mahira with a laugh.
