Mahira Khan Raises Voice on Kashmir Issue

Indian brutality has once again heightened in the occupied Jammu Kashmir and while hundreds and thousands suffer, the silence of millions of Pakistanis is even more worrisome. Actress Mahira Khan who is known not only for her films but her involvement in social causes, has once again took it upon her shoulders to create awareness on the atrocities being carried out in Kashmir.

The starlet took to her Twitter to raise voice on the matter and penned down a powerful message for all those in power and place.

“Have we conveniently blocked what we don’t want to address? This is beyond lines drawn on sand, it’s about innocent lives being lost!” wrote Mahira.

“Heaven is burning and we silently weep,” she added.

In recent days India with its military and forceful efforts has tried to completely lock down Jammu Kashmir. With curfew like situations and disruptions in internet and communication means, the Indian government has created a black out for Kashmiris to raise their voice.

The tensions escalated earlier this month when India, in violation of Vienna convention, attacked the Kashmiri civilians with cluster bombing. Innocent women and children lost their lives at the hands of Indian brutality and Mahira is definitely playing her part to bring international attention on the matter.
