Coronavirus Controversy: Maria B’s husband released on bail
Police have released famous designer Maria B’s husband Tahir Saeed on bail hours after taking him into custody for not informing the authorities that his cook had contracted coronavirus and sent him back to his home putting thousands life at stake!”
Saeed was arrested from his house after an FIR registered against him for hiding the test results of his servant and sending him to his home town Vehari, police said.
“The servant [infected person] was brought to Lahore from Vihari and shifted to the city’s Meo Hospital,” said police.
Police’s spokesperson said that the infected person had met dozens of people during travelling on his way home and in his village Karam Pur.
The spokesman further added the entire village will have to be quarantined due to the criminal act of Tahir Saeed.
Earlier, Maria B condemned the arrest of her husband and a police raid at her house. She requested the prime minister to take notice of her husband’s arrest.
It is not known yet whether Maria B and her family will be quarantined and tested for coronavirus after their servant was tested positive and showed severe symptoms of COVID-19.
