Recently, Meghan attended her fashion designer friend Misha Nonoo’s wedding in Rome and stunned everyone with her fashion choices. First of all the Duchess wore black which is often considered ‘rude’ color to be worn at weddings, and secondly, she completely undermined her £8,000 designer dress by accessorizing it with cheap earrings.

Worth £5, Meghan’s blingy earrings were originally bought from a stall at Portobello Road, west London and belonged to a friend from whom the Duchess borrowed. The earrings not only understated the worth of her dress but also felt unmatched to the Duchess’s otherwise design-cladded personality.

And of course, the black color seemed a little too offputting for many, including the royal family itself.

“Wedding guests usually shun black in favor of a more complimentary colour to pair with white. Meghan isn’t one for playing by etiquette as we well know but even for her this is fairly shocking,” said a fashion expert over the Duchess’s color choice for the occasion.
