Mehwish Hayat replies to Bakhtawar Bhutto’s tweet about Benazir’s biopic
While there had been news regarding Mehwish Hayat starring in Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s biopic, there was no official confirmation. However, in a recent Instagram post, Mehwish finally put the rumors to rest. “She was a truly remarkable woman and I look forward to giving life to her story soon,” she shared.

While fans were happy to hear the news, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari did not feel the same way. “Certainly no consent from her living heirs/children was sought. Absolutely unacceptable and we will be taking action against it.”

Mehwish noticed the tweet and did not take long to clarify. “There is a project at the very early stages of development about your amazing mother. This cannot and will not be done without the consent or blessing of the family.I am sure that the team involved will be in touch before they progress further..”
She also added that irrespective of any film I would love to meet Benazir’s daughter someday and learn more about their mother.
