Mehwish Hayat voices support for #cancelexamspakistan2021

Amid the recent surge in COVID-19 cases across the country, students are demanding the authorities cancel board exams in Pakistan.

Every day the same demand is being trended on social media with a new hashtag with the hope that the students’ wish might come true.

And the trend sees a number of celebrities joining in the demand bandwagon on social media.

The latest celebrity to bring forward such a request is Mehwish Hayat.

In a tweet, the Pride of Performance award recipient said, “It is wrong that students are being forced to take exams. Not only is it dangerous with the 3rd wave taking hold but is unfair when education has been so disrupted!”

“I humbly request @Shafqat_Mahmood to cancel exams this year as other countries have done,” she added.
