Kukoo of Sacred Games, Kubbra Sait has come forward in support of her co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui, after former Miss India Niharika Singh called him out in her #MeToo account. Niharika has also worked in 2009’s Miss Lovely, opposite Nawazuddin and is known as Nawazuddin’s ex-girlfriend.

Taking it to social media, the Sacred Games starrer, who played the character of transgender, wrote, “A relationship gone sour, isn’t #MeToo. Someone needs to recognise the toxic difference before we go picking sides. I stand by #NawazuddinSiddiqui or #Nowaz as a man”.

In another tweet, putting out her words in support of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kubbra wrote, “I stand by the fact that although Niharika Singh may have had a tough time in the industry, categorising her once personal relationship as a #MeToo statement is incorrectly placed. We as humans are flawed. That isn’t gender specific”.

It was earlier when Niharika Singh’s #MeToo story was shared on Twitter in a series of tweets by an Indian journalist-author Sandhya Menon. She is one of the journalists spearheading the Indian campaign against sexual harassment. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was accused by the former model by quoting him “sexually repressed Indian man”, in the post.
