It comes as a sad news that a former Miss Teenage Universe, Lotte Van Der Zee, passed away at the age of 19. Lotte van der Zee, was on a family ski trip when she suffered from a heart attack. Her parents, Bert van der Zee and Eugeniek van het Hul, announced the news on her Instagram account.
“Lotte started to feel unwell throughout the course of the afternoon. It “swiftly escalated in sudden cardiac arrest,” shared the parents.
Lotte was rushed to the hospital where she was “kept a sleep under intensive supervision of the doctors in order to monitor her health.”
According to a Dutch newspaper, Lotte’s parents said their daughter had been out with friends and returned at night without any signs of illness. The newspaper reported the parents saying that Lotte looked ill when she didn’t show up for breakfast and then her condition worsened in the afternoon.
The parents are now planning to do tests to see what caused their daughter’s heart attack.
