Miss Universe Philippines shares story about her broken crown

Catriona Gray from Philippines, who won the Miss Universe 2018 title, recently revealed in her video how her Miss Universe Crown,  Mikimoto, worth $250,000 had broken when she danced at her homecoming parade at the Araneta Center.

Gary took to Miss Universe’s official social media to share a video captioning it: ‘The moment you’ve all been waiting for: The Story Behind The Broken Crown.’

Catriona is seen sharing her story about how the crown broken when she decided to dance during her homecoming. “So one of the things I love about the parade is that they have this moving band and they have the drums that makes me want to dance, so I end up dancing although I am not a very good dancer,” Gari states in the video.

The Mikimoto crown, worn by Miss Universe 2018 is made up of 500 diamonds weighing almost 30 carats and 120 South Sea and Ayoka pearls. Following Gary’s tweet, the Miss Universe Organization then assured in another tweet that the crown would be fixed soon without any troubles.
